About Me

My photo
David Pyle
I have always been a runner, using long runs to reduce stress and rationalise life's challenges. After 41 years in teaching, culminating in 16 years as Headteacher at Weald Community Primary School in Kent, I launched myself into retirement by embarking on a new challenge; a series of long-distance runs to raise money for charity. The first of these was completed in September 2025, running 78 miles along the Norfolk Coast Path. Now I'm embarking on a double challenge: firstly running 70 miles around the Isle of Wight Coastal Path; then after a period of recovery I will be running the London Marathon with my daughter Olivia. Through a combination of these two events I hope to raise as much as possible for The Passage Charity, which works to prevent and end homelessness in London. Thank you so much in anticipation of your support and donations plus Gift Aid where possible.
